Delicious food and great service! Grilled meats are seasoned and cooked just right. Huge portions and well worth the price! Will definitely be back and highly recommend!!
Great experience ! The Grillhouse offers a wide range of exquisite dishes that not only provide a great sensation to one's pallet but also ensure their customer's are taken care of. You will receive excellent service , a variety of specialty dishes, and finally, a service that can only be experienced. Highly recommend 👌 My order for the day : 1. Snails 2. King klip 3. Crème Brûlée
Your restaurant cost us an extra R500. We had a Mall gift Bank Card of R500. The total bill was R535 which included the tip. Your waiter refused to swipe, he insisted the card said Rosebank Mall hence he could not swipe. The more I tried to tell him it will swipe,,the more he insisted this is not Rosebank mall, the mall is on the other side. I repeatedly (tried) to tell him swipe and convince me I am wrong because the card will swipe at any machine in South Africa, and that I know what I am talking about. , The more I said to him I am a retired Standard bank staff of many years, the more he refused. I challenged him to swipe to prove me right or wrong, he refused point blank to swipe. I am furious, the manager (I assume) did not even attempt to prove me right or wrong, he refused to swipe. Is that how staff treat patrons?? Forget the embarrassment. Ladtly, what if we did not have enough funds to “foot” the bill your staff refused to swipe Ps How does A big (and yes, great) establishment of many years act so unprofessional towards us on the day. Gosh, I am disgusted Another ps I ALWAYS PLAY FAIR, so yes, The food was great, OUR EXPERIENCE WAS NOT!!!
I would normally not go to all the trouble of writing a review but sadly this time I feel obligated to do so. Firstly, I am not a fussy eater. It is rare that I would consider any meal to be inedible. Last night was an exception. I was embarrassed and shocked by the quality of the meat that was served. The rump was a 4mm piece of pure leather that was even difficult to cut, let alone eat. My guests were too courteous to say much but their fillets likewise looked like biltong. Not wanting to ruin the evening, I approached the manager and advised him to taste the left over meat that was removed from the table. Never heard a word from him again. This meal was truly a disgrace . After being a patron of this restaurant for most of its existence, I will certainly never return. My advise to this institution is that they should learn that it is dangerous to rely on your reputation. When a guest says that there is a major issue , at least have the manners to investigate and respond . Shocking to say the least .
